It was fairly clean, and the people were brilliantly friendly and efficient. The location was decent, just a short walk away from Sugamo Town. There was a small restaurant, a supermarket and a convenience store next door.

The location of Apa Hotel Itabashi Ekimae is unbeatable. It's right next to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient to explore popular areas like Ikebukuro, Shibuya, and Shinjuku. Plus, the neighborhood is quiet and has supermarkets within walking distance. We enjoyed the variety of excellent izakayas nearby, where we indulged in delicious food and the best Japanese whisky. Despite the small size, the room had an amazing bed. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection, but we highly recommend trying the pancakes and omelettes at the local restaurants. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly.
